Man Gautama Buddha, Gautama Buddha Part 4
enlightenment

Gautama Buddha had experienced at first hand that an ascetic life completely pointless is to gain enlightenment, and beyond havoc even severe physical and mental damage. So he left the forest of the ascetic life in utmost determination. There practicing ascetics were sure that Gautama Buddha left the forest of the ascetic life, because he ultimately lacked stamina, discipline and will and so they laughed at him and showered him with contempt and scorn.

However, we can assume that Gautama Buddha had the strong and pure intention in mind to seek the truth and it was safe for him only the strong will to attain this truth. Gautama Buddha had therefore terminated the asceticism without even further from the Criticism of the other ascetics to take notice. The asceticism had proved a dead end.

as Gautama Buddha then completely exhausted on the bank of small river Nairanjana drags a little girl remarked with Sujata the sick and pitiful state of Gautama Buddha and offered him oatmeal in the food they carried with him . When the Buddha had eaten

the gruel, he felt a bit stronger, and his body and mind slowly recovered. He began in a different way of truth seeking, by terms he made with the old in India, the widespread practice of yoga. Gautama Buddha used it a yoga posture, which is regarded as the best and most effective. This practice is the same seat, which until the present time is used in zazen.

After he had continued this practice for several years, he sat on a winter morning in zazen and noticed at once that he was no longer in the field of thought and perception was staying, but that he lived only in the realm of reality. This reality was the truth he had sought for so long!

said in a sutra is important that "Mountains, rivers, grass and trees are fully grown the truth" and Shobogenzo of Master Dogen said in the same way:

"Mountains, rivers and the earth are the truth has become.

Therefore, we can understand that Gautama Buddha suddenly made the experience totally unique and clear that this world is just the reality and that this world is exactly the truth itself. What we produce in our brains is never be the whole truth and what we receive through our sense perceptions, can likewise never be the whole, full truth or reality.

What we are doing just the present moment, the truth is just the reality. It is immediately clear that the two great western philosophies of idealism and materialism can never be the whole truth. You are only one kind of idea or illusion compared to action at the present moment through which we come directly into the reality and truth.

The action that we perform in the present moment, the actual existence of the universe and this shows the essential unity of human action with the real universe as reality itself, this is a simple fact in the present moment and this is exactly the enlightenment.
